Admission Requirements – DSG School of Photography, Cinematography & Media Studies
At DSG School, we believe every great journey begins with preparation. To ensure our students succeed, we have outlined the essential admission and system requirements below.
Application Requirements
To complete your admission process, applicants are expected to provide:
- Recent Passport Photograph
- Full-Length Photograph
- Proof of Residence (utility bill, ID, or official document)
- Motivation Letter – a short essay explaining your passion for photography, cinematography, or media studies, and why you want to join DSG School.
- Interview Session – shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview to assess readiness, passion, and commitment.
Technical Requirements
Because our training involves hands-on practice with industry-standard software and editing tools, students are expected to come with personal laptops that meet the following minimum specifications:
- Operating System: Windows® 11, Windows® 10, or Windows® 8
- Processor: Intel® or AMD® i5 or i7 processor
- Memory (RAM): 2 GB minimum (8 GB recommended for best performance)
- Storage: Minimum of 16 GB free disk space for installation
- Graphics: Qualified hardware-accelerated OpenGL® graphics card
- Accessories: 3-button mouse for precision editing
Additional Requirements
- External Storage: At least 250 GB External Hard Drive for storing media projects and backups.
- Basic Computer Skills: Applicants should have basic knowledge of Windows or Mac OS.
- If you don’t yet have this knowledge, we will arrange a special foundation training to get you started.
